2025 Summer Social!

We had another wonderful Summer Social at the Wieland’s place. It was hot, but no complaints! A special treat occurred when 2 fine musicians from the Lakes Area Music Festival stopped by for a mini concert!

We had hot weather for the July 4, 2025 boat parade! It was still a great success.

The 2025 Annual Meeting was a success! Jim Hall did a great job for his first meeting as president.

Once again, we had 2 loon families on the lake with 2 chicks each! The first two were born on June 2, 2025 and the second two hatched on June 9! Unfortunately, the younger pair was predated, so we’re down to 2 babies. Keep an eye out for them!

It got warm enough for lake fun in early May! Then cold again, but beautiful by Memorial Day, 2025!

Ice-Out was April 17, 2025!

Go to our “history” page to see ice-out dates for the past 60+ years!

This was a full moon over the partially frozen lake on April 11.

We had northern lights on Sunday, August 11, 2024!

We had 3 loon families with 5 babies on the lake in 2024!

The first babies hatched in the northeast lake platform on May 31, and one was lost to predation or other natural events. The second pair of chicks hatched on June 9 in the Sunset Bay platform, so we had 3 babies on the lake. Then, in early September, we did a loon count, and there is a third family with 2 more babies that likely came over from nearby Bass Lake.
